A Note To Roy

Dear Roy,

We love you, yes I want to say that first and I’ll probably say it last as well. Today your Tar Heels are playing your Jayhawks. Wait… That’s not right, our Tar Heels are playing our Jayhawks… Well Frack! Third time’s the charm, YOUR Tar Heels are playing OUR Jayhawks. Sorry, since you left Lawrence, its been hard to tell that there aren’t two KUs and two UNCs out there. Not that we don’t like Bill. Bill is great and he’s coming along nicely and we love him too. But, well, he still isn’t you. Of course, if he wins tonight and on Monday, we very well might forget who you are. Being this is his first trip to the Final Four and all.

But that won’t diminish our love for you, however, if the game is close and you would like to excuse yourself to the locker room for the last, say… 5 minutes of the game, I’m sure I speak for Jayhawk fans everywhere when I say that would be okay. And remember, the referees really like it when you yell at them and call them names. Especially when they make impeccable calls.
