What Subscribing Means

Some of you may not know what subscribing means. Copyblogger makes a good point in that for most people, subscribe might mean the wrong thing.

Subscribing to a news feed, or RSS feed, is generally free. That’s right no cost. We use the word “subscribe” because it’s the best fit for the action. However, there is no cost involved. You can download free news readers from Newsgator or subscribe using Google Reader if you choose. The great thing about RSS is that you don’t have to visit the site to get updates. The site will tell your reader when there is new content and your reader will go and get that content and you can read it at your pleasure.

So please, read, subscribe, and comment on the blogs you like. There is an amazing amount of good information and blogs out there and you should patronize them and tell your friends about them.
