Please God Give Me Public Transportation

Ok, so this is where I spend a long time letting you read about a major gripe and completely crap day. I want public transportation. Not because gas prices are so high, not because it will help the environment, but because car dealers suck.

I spend most of the day at a car dealership today, I won’t mention which one, but they suck. Tomorrow they are going to call me and want me to come site papers and the answer is going to be no, hell no, and I’m going to try to refrain from cursing at them.

This is because we spent from about 9:10 AM to about 10 till 4:00PM today and we STILL didn’t come home with a car. They said, it was a credit problem, then it was a paperwork problem, then it was “Oh, 30 more minutes and we’ll be done.” STILL NO PAPERWORK. But here’s the deal, they don’t have my signature on anything binding, there is no bank loan and I have the keys to my car. So they are just go jump in the lake.

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I battle anxiety. Well, one of the things that trigger that is anything and everything to do with credit. After spending 7 hours in a panic attack I had had enough and walked out without the new car.

I came home tonight and found out, surprise, surprise, the dealer lied to me about some things. So I won’t be going back and they won’t be having a pleasant phone conversation with me tomorrow when they call to “finish” the deal.

So this is my call for better public transportation. Yes, we need to address the issue of climate change and instability that energy dependence creates, however, at this point, I think we should just quit buying cars because car salesmen and car dealerships suck. I think making them all have to go find a REAL job, or better yet, have to live on welfare for the rest of their life is much better. I just think that there is no better excuse for creating a real, national, public transportation system than to put these losers out of bsuiness. Just my opinion, but I could be wrong.

Interesting Results

So Sunday I purchased a ton of ads on EntreCard. I had done this before, but the last time I purchased credits and ebay and hit the top sites on each EntreCard Category. This time, the results were very similar for one day and there are 2 more really to go to get through the ads. But from here, it appears buying lots and lots of lower priced ads is just as effective as buying ads from the top ranked sites.

The previous ad buy netted me about 220 drops in one day and about 254 visits according to Google Analytics. Yesterday, when about 23 ads ran there were 217 visits to my site. But here is the kicker. Today, there will be Blue Turtle Ads all over because the number is probably closer to 75 ads. And that’s the deal, with the lower priced ads, you can generate almost the same amount of traffic for less money. So tonight, after I get done with my daily stuff. I will be making another ad buy. And HOPEFULLY, I’ll have time to drop 300 cards again today. That’s getting more and more difficult.

EntreCard Ads

I’m trying an experiment to see which is better. About 2 weeks ago I purchased 10,000 EntreCard credits off ebay. I used those to buy an advertisement on a blog in the top ten or twelve blogs per category. This was pretty successful and had a major impact on traffic to my site.

Today, I went to the Campaign section and bought the lowest price ad per section and then used up the rest of my ECC to buy ads from blogs with no ads running. Most of these ads are 2 or 4 EC per day. The question is, which is more effective? One ad on a very popular blog? or 500 ads on less popular blogs.

Guess We’ll find out here in a day or two.

Seriously?

Man gets Windows Vista to work with printer

OK, so 6 years ago, I bought a HP Deskjet 5550 when ordering my PowerBook G4. Um, 4 OS upgrades later… Guess what? The Printer works just as well today as it did when it was purchased.

Do you need another reason to make the switch?
