Busy Busy Busy

So I was sitting around thinking that I haven’t really posted anything useful to my blog lately, and so I thought I would catch everything up.

I’m swamped, just absolutely swamped. I thought, wrongly it turns out that when school started I would get a bit more free-time. Well that didn’t happen. Then for the last week, as if I didn’t have enough to do already, my iPhone started crashing. They replaced it last Friday, then it died again on Wednesday, and then Yesterday. As it turns out it appears that it was the American Heritage Dictionary that I purchased last weekend. I have deleted it, and maybe I’ll try it again either after they update it, or update to the iPhone 2.1 software. But for now, it’s off my phone.

I’ve been thinking this morning about a technology that Apple will be adding to the iPhone at some point soon. They said September, but I don’t know whether that’s still going to happen. But, they are introducing a push technology for applications. What this is supposed to do is allow applications to receive pushed data when they aren’t running on the iPhone. The great thing about this is for applications like Twitter where updates would be pushed to the phone.

The downside will be battery life. The way they are doing this is supposed to be much less battery draining than leaving all the apps running continually, and I can certainly see that, but, I think I will have to charge the thing four times a day even still. Might have to invest in one of those external batteries.

Now, if they can just get my Sync to take less than like 2 hours. Or give an option of some sort to only backup once a day or something. But, every time you plug in the phone is a bit much I think.

Anyone else having any troubles with their iPhone?
